The companies responsible for implementing the cleanup project have retained Tetra Tech EC, Inc. as the lead Remediation Contractor. Tetra Tech is a leading U.S.-based consulting, engineering, remediation, restoration and construction firm. Tetra Tech offers a full range of traditional and innovative services that are delivered cost effectively, timely and in compliance with applicable regulations and requirements.
Boskalis Dolman and Stuyvesant Projects Realization Inc., sub-contractor
Tetra Tech retained Boskalis Dolman as the subcontractor responsible for designing the sediment dewatering system. Stuyvesant Projects Realization, Inc. (SPRI) operates the desanding and dewatering system.
Boskalis Dolman and SPRI are subsidiaries of Royal Boskalis Westminster, a contracting firm based in the Netherlands that has operations throughout the world providing services in marine construction, maintenance of ports and waterways, land reclamation, coastal defense and riverbank protection.
J.F. Brennan, sub-contractor
Tetra Tech retained J.F. Brennan Co., Inc., of La Crosse, Wisconsin, as the subcontractor responsible for dredging and construction of the caps. Brennan has extensive experience in environmental dredging and provides a full range of marine construction services. Brennan also has offices in St. Charles, Illinois, and Holmes Beach, Florida, and was also retained by the companies responsible for the cleanup project in Little Lake Butte Morts.
To efficiently achieve the clean-up objectives, Brennan employs the latest in global positioning and other electronic systems and equipment technologies while stressing the importance of safety and environmental stewardship. Brennan is intimately familiar with major U.S. inland waterways and has an intense interest in their preservation.
