Construction of the Green Bay Processing Facility

Summer - Fall 2008

The Fox River Cleanup Group completed a detailed sampling and analysis program to refine the limits of selected areas scheduled for dredging in 2009. This program was extended through fall 2008 to areas of the river scheduled for dredging in subsequent years.

December 2008

The Fox River Cleanup Group submitted to the EPA and the WDNR the Final (100%) Remedial Design and Phase 2B Remedial Action Work Plan for cleanup work to be performed in 2009.

January 2009

The Fox River Cleanup Group submitted to the EPA and WDNR the Pre-Final Design (90%) for cleanup work to be performed from 2010 to completion.

April 28, 2009

Dredging operations begin

Summer 2009

Capping and sand covering operations begin.

Mid-November 2009

First year of operations conclude.  Dredging and processing exceed 2009 targets. 

April 5, 2010

Dredging resumes on the lower Fox River
